Youth Faith Formation
"Train a child when they are young. Even when they are old, they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6 NABRE
In Faith Formation, our goal is to do just that; form the faith of all of our students. Our programming is designed to help the children prepare to answer their Gospel call to discipleship. In Pre-K and Kindergarten, students are introduced to the Catholic faith through song, dance, stories, and crafts. In Kindergarten, students will delve into stories of God's love for His creation. They will discover God through our relationships, Church, His Son, and Holy Days. In grades 1-5, the students explore Scripture, the Catechism, and the Faith as they reflect on the Sunday readings, prayer, service projects, community events, and interactive learning. In Grades 6-7, our students take a deeper dive into the Faith using a program called Chosen. This program is presented with a series of modern videos, activities, games, and projects. All of these programs build on each other to help form the child in their Catholic faith.
Our community of Parishes exists to share the saving message of Jesus Christ as proclaimed in the Gospel. Parents are the primary educators of their children in the regard; however, we are all too eager and happy to assist mothers and fathers, families all, in this important vocation of forming disciples of our children. The Parish Youth Faith Formation Program seeks to be of service to families through dedicated catechists, integrated involvement in the celebration of our faith, and holy environments in which our children can learn about the Lord's love for them. The blessing of being a community of two Parish campuses allows us to offer a flexible program that can help families with busy schedules.
