"How good and how pleasant it is when brothers dwell together as one!" (Psalm 133:1)

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus were founded in 1882 as a Catholic fraternal organization, established for the mutual support of Catholic men and their families. Fr. Michael McGivney, a priest in Hartford, CT, saw a need for Catholic families to receive support through the financial and spiritual support that a fraternal organization can provide. Since then, the Knights have grown and spread across the globe, serving the needs of its members as well as contributing the charitable works of the Church in all areas of society.

Our Parishes are blessed to be home to the Bethlehem Council of the Knights of Columbus, which is very active in our community. From their council home in Edgemere, the men of the Knights minister to our School through religious and academic scholarships and programs; they serve the social life of the Parish by hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast every second Sunday of the month; and they host a dinner each third Sunday of the month at their beautiful council home on the water.

Membership in the Knights is open to all Catholic men, aged 18 and up. Members find the Knights to be a supportive group who care about the life and faith of all their brothers. For more information about our council, check out their website here
